Where shoppers RISE and makers SHINE!

Rise + Shine was inspired by our mutual love of craft and in bringing people together. We hosted our inaugural event in February of 2020 and we loved how well received this concept was from the start. The vibe was infectious as we gathered and shopped and we knew we were onto something special.

We patiently waited 2 years to bring you our next event, a market twice the size at the Cyclorama in the South End of Boston. Our community has grown by leaps and bounds and we are excited that this little vision is on quite a roll.

Heading back to our Winchester roots, we have hosted two holiday-inspired marketplaces at the historical Town Hall building located in the heart of Winchester center. We appreciate our community sticking by us and we’re excited for more to come.

Meet the Founders…

  • Sarah Motzkin

    Sarah Motzkin is busy doing all the things…carefully curating her busy as the founder of Busy Bostonians and co-founder of The Busy Creative, wife and mother of two. Connection, creativity, and supporting local makers were the drive behind joining forces with Kate to create Rise + Shine. Sarah has more than 12 years of experience in the human resources and event industry. She uses her networking skills, many connections, and in-depth understanding of the social media sphere. She uses creative and innovative methods to help friends and clients connect and grow their businesses. Sarah is honored to bring together these amazing vendors, to share their stories and passion through craft.

  • Kate Maloney Albiani

    Kate Maloney Albiani is a residential interior designer and mother of three. Kate’s love of craft led her to follow her passion of supporting the maker community through her work in home design and was the inspiration behind joining forces with Sarah to create Rise + Shine. Throughout her 20 year career in the design community, Kate credits handmade pieces with bringing soul to the rooms she designs for families across New England. Kate is proud to bring you a curated collection of vendors that are a reflection of her design style while celebrating the makers she has built relationships with over the years.

Meet the Team…

  • Kendall Cogan

    Kendall Cogan is a former KMID team member and graduated in 2020, during the pandemic with a marketing degree. Working closely with Kate for 3+ years, she too shares the same passion for helping brands tell their story to the world, in the best way she knows how, through social media. Kendall is currently the Marketing Specialist at Sentinel Group. She runs point on prospect and client events, and sponsorships, all while managing the distribution of mass-communications and content strategy of the company’s social platforms.

  • Taylor Gautreau

    Owner of Taylored Events, Wife & Mom of two daughters. Taylor’s early experiences in the event world has shaped her career. The person you want on any special occasion, calm, cool, and coordinating through any event. In her spare time you can find Taylor out walking the town with her girls, shopping, and going on dates with her husband. Enjoys shopping, interior design, and creating. ‘With over 12 years of experience, I pride myself on my highly customized and unique events. Whether planning your next Wedding, Family Celebration, Corporate Event, or a Fundraising Gala, I am here to make sure that each of your events will be inspiring, extraordinary, and unforgettable’
