Meet Zoe Paschkis

Zoe Paschkis is a watercolorist. She grew up in Newton and has shown her work at local craft fairs and cafes. Most recently, she displayed her paintings at the Brookline Bank and ran an art fundraiser for humanitarian relief in Ukraine that raised over $5,000. She currently lives in Dorchester with her husband Andrey, a historian, and their cat Oso, a retired philosopher.

About the artwork:

Zoe discovered room portraiture in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to travel without traveling. Painting rooms lets her inhabit these inviting spaces, feel their texture, and briefly make them her own. She cherishes rooms that are just the right mix of coziness and oomph, old and new. Rooms that fizz and pop. Rooms that transform the air within to something warm and bright.
